Sand and Shell Deposit
56 ha
This area contains an ancient marine sand deposit with an estimated reserve of 45,000 m³, confirmed by studies at the National University of the South. The material is suitable for commercialization, with potential to generate two distinct high-value products:
- Sand for construction and road works.
- Shell-based calcium carbonate, used in animal feed and agricultural soil conditioning.
Geological surveys also identified a significant clay layer of high plasticity, suitable for ceramics, molding, and various industrial applications.
Advantages
- Technical feasibility for public services (water, electricity, gas, telecom).
- Land suitable for building.
- Excellent connectivity: only 470 m from National Route Nº 3 and direct access to Comandante Espora Airport without entering the city.
